Steve stared at the vast ocean below him as he clutched his wife’s ring tightly in his fist.

Noting the paled white stain that began to appear beneath his knuckles skin as he clasped her ring ever so tightly to his chest.

The memories of their once tranquilant times together began to flood his sense's without mercy. (Name) had only been gone three short tormenting months yet Steve couldn’t shake the feeling that she was still out there.

Somewhere, beyond the horizon. Waiting for him; her solider.

Slowly light from the rising sun began to peak over the horizon's darkened hills.

Her face haunted him at night as he longed to be within her presence once again. Touch her soothing skin, raking his rough hands through her soft (hair color) hair. As he brushed his lips against hers, as a passionate moan fell from her pink lips.

As a single tear slid from his eye, he glanced toward the horizon as the sun raised itself towards the sky. He knew he could never have or experience those things again yet he longed for her.

One of S.H.E.I.L.D's main ammo ship's was destroyed that day three months ago.

(Name) had been stationed on the same vessel at the time it had been sank by an unknown enemy.

With only 7 survivor's rescued from the sea, still none were her. The files claimed her to of been lost to this travesty. M.I.A.

Her body nor remains were ever found.

With no remains or clues left to her whereabouts Steve sank into a deep depression. He grasped any hopes of fantasy's that could lead him to believe her to still live.

Pulling the ring to his lips he smiled as sorrow shone in his eyes, thinking of the memories he had with you. Steve kissed it gently as tears streaked his cheek's once again.

“My love will never stop burning for you (name).” he whispered quietly. “I'll never let you fade from my thoughts.” Steve's voice fell in a darkened tone.

His arm stretched out to hold his lovers ring over the cliff. Ready to let the last of her fall to the unmerciful waves that crashed below. To set her soul free in some way, if it was possible at all?

Closing his eyes eye's he readied his hand to let free it's grasp as he tried to brace himself to let go of these painful memories. Of her. Before he could let go of her ring a beautiful song began to whisper softly in the wind.

Instantly he though himself insane, that his grief had clouded his mind permanently. But as the entrancing voice seemed to grow within his ears he knew this to be no mere delusion.

How this voice reminded him of... (Name).

An angel seemed to call to his soul, one's voice that had seemed to steal (name's) voice.
