Still he asked you to examine every piece of data that laid before you. Asking you to seek and understand the workings of S.H.I.E.L.D.S. Code's as well as S.H.E.I.L.D itself.
Yet your commanding officer still tasked you the job of finding any traces of Asgaurdian magic with in the realm of Midgard. The leader of the Avenger's, Tony Stark in the flesh.
He was a good boss and yet a horrible leader at the same time within your minds sight. This man had no reasonable cause nor purpose that would ever help or aid humanity.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Present (Name's P.O.V.)~~~~~~~~~~~
It had been well over a month since you had begun to search for the reading's Tony had requested you to locate.
Though within this time you had begun to grow very close to Hawkeye, Clint Burton. You and him were very much alike and yet estranged at the same time.
He had treated you to multiple dinners and movies within the small span of time you had come to know him underneath Stark's employment. This man was different from anyone you had met before, he knew the same pain and struggle of justice and yet still he knew the unrelenting passion of love.
As you pursued on with your mission, you couldn’t help but feel a bottomless pit of guilt well within your soul.
You were betraying not only the Avenger's trust, but the one man's faith you had come to love and bask in. This dark feeling had never come over you before, no matter the task you were ordered to complete.
A deathly choice laid before you now. Stay loyal to your father, the 'Barron' who had raised you to destroy all that dared to oppose H.Y.D.R.A. Or go with your heart and stand by Clint's side with the Avenger's to the end.
Yet you still knew not how deeply Barton's emotions ran for you, though you longed to. No matter his feelings towards you. In your minds eye it was completely clear to your heart that he was the 'one'. Your one and only.
Meanwhile all the time without Tony knowing you had successfully hacked every S.H.I.E.L.D. File within their database, without a single soul knowing. Simultaneously sending all information in encrypted files to H.Y.D.R.A.S. database itself.
Still you had not expected the reading that just appeared before your eyes. Jarvis had finally locked onto a confirmed target. Finally you had located a reading of unworldly magic, located on the far outskirts of New York’s, capital.
Your eyes narrowed as you examined the data more. A small sigh escaped your lips as you read on. Their was no doubt the source of these readings were the work of your father himself. He had finally began to enact his long sought plan.
It was time.
Your eyes narrowed in determination ever so slightly before you pushed the piece closer to your ear before calling to Tony. “Found it Tony. I have the readings pre-programmed into the Avenge-jet Sir.”
You called quickly into the intercom. “Good work 'Name', meet us down at the hanger. I need you aboard to track the readings for us.” He ordered.
Instantly you stilled at his words, this could mean the end of your espionage mission. Yet if you stopped now your mission would ensure your own failure as well. Yet you could not hesitate, lest the team began to suspect you of betrayal.
“Give me three minutes, I'll meet you there.” You called quickly before awaiting Tony's response. You almost kicked your own door in as you rushed to gathered what little useful tech you had before making your way down to the towers hanger.
As the elevator began to descend you couldn’t help but think over what could transpire within the next few hours. You knew you would most likely be given a choice.
Your lone guardian and father, or Clint and the Avengers?
What would your heart ultimately decide?
Maid or Master chapter 13 : Loki X Reader fanfic
Chapter 13
Thor walked into Loki's room the next morning with Loki's breakfast.
"Where's (name)?" Loki sat up to stare at his brother.
"She took today off." Thor slammed the tray on the table causing Loki to flinch. "She said you were abusive to her the other day and she needed a break."
Loki rolled his eyes and went down the stairs to his breakfast.
"Brother, what did you do to her? She even came in after you tricked her and escaped, you must have really crossed a line this time."
"I lost my temper." Loki put a piece of bread in his mouth. "No big deal."
"No big deal? You drove yet another person away!"
"She hasn't quit yet has she?"
Loki remembered.
He remembered how he always lived... in his brother's shadow...
His brother...
How their father always favored him...
How everyone was sure he was the one that was going to become the king of Asgard...
How he was the righteous son of Odin that did nothing wrong...
How he was perfect...
How he achieved whatever he wished for...
How he was the charismatic child that got whatever he wanted without even trying...
(F/N) shot straight up, her eyes wide with confusion; she hadn’t told anyone where she and Loki were going. It ridiculous was of Thor to burst into Midgard in such a manner. He had sent the Midgardians into a panic but he did not seem to care in the least.
“Thor, what in Odin’s name are you doing?” She threw her hands up in anger as she stomped over towards him. Oh the All-Father was certainly going to be furious when he heard about Thor’s big entrance that was causing chaos.
“Are you alright? We have been searching for you everywhere.” He cast Mjolnir to the ground beside him, making the cement cru
